If you have frizzy hair, it's probably getting on your nerves. Most people want their hair to lie down and behave, and it often doesn't want to do that. They try all kinds of temporary fixes like hair gels and straighteners to tame their wild manes. They use a lot of hair spray and they try various products that are designed to reduce frizz. Some of these products work, but a lot of other people either go to a salon to have their hair chemically straightened or they use straightening irons. For people who don't want to use beauty shop-strength chemicals or who don't have the time each day to use a straightening iron or flat iron on their hair, there are other chemicals which can be good options. Others find that they just can't tame their frizz, and that can come from not realizing that they have split ends or some other hair problem. If you've let your hair grow very long but you haven't been getting it trimmed like you should you might end up with a lot of split ends and that can give your hair that frizzy look that you're trying to avoid.

When you want to get rid of split ends a haircut is in order ...
... and you might need a lot more than just a trim. If it's been a very long time since you've had it cut or trimmed at all, those split ends might not just be on the end. People who have waist-length hair may end up getting their hair cut above their collar simply because they didn't take care of it while it was growing. For someone who likes her (or his) hair long, that can be very traumatic and upsetting. Even if you've decided to let your hair grow out, you can avoid this kind of problem by getting haircuts (trims) regularly. The stylist doesn't have to take much off, and it will help to reduce split ends and other problems that can occur. If you have hair or scalp problems and you're going to the stylist regularly, he or she can take care of you and recommend products that will help before things get too bad.

No matter what you decide is best for you, there are ways that you can tame down that frizz and feel better about your appearance. There are a lot of great options available, but some are easier to deal with and less expensive than others. Sometimes you have to go out and find them, and sometimes they'll come to you, but either way they exist. If you look at the different products and options out there, you'll find the right one, and you can stop or reduce that frizz with what works for you. Once you find it, you can keep using it and you won't have to continue hunting around for other alternatives.
