Flawed Corporate Structure
The average person is a part of the corporate structure. Unfortunately there are companies whose structures that are not built in the best interest of employees. Throughout the years employees have gone on strikes, because of the lack of treatment. Employees sometime feel that they have to scratch and crawl from 9am to 5pm every day and are not getting the proper treatment they believe they deserve. Is there a major flaw in the corporate structure of some of these companies?
Now there is nothing wrong with the corporate structure, however there are some that are not relational based and strictly just work, work, work. What do I mean by relational? When I mention a company being relational, I mean the relationship the CEO or upper management has with its employees. Or the culture that he/she builds in the company to encourage relationship. Most of these companies employees never seen the CEO face to face, but is in the office on the very top floor far from everyone. Now I understand that the CEO cannot be friends with everyone, but he/she can at least make some sort of contact to those who are working hard to put ...
... money in their company's pockets.
How To Know If You are in a Flawed Corporate Structure
Employees Feel Inferior
Does upper management make you feel inferior to them?
Are you intimidated by those who are above you?
Dog Eat Dog
Does it feel like people are forced to trample over you in order to get ahead of you?
Unhealthy Competition
Do people have to fight for promotions by making someone else look bad?
Lack of Recognition
Is there a lack of acknowledgement from upper management?
Do you feel that you are not getting enough credit from your bosses?
If you are experiencing any of these points, you may well be in a flawed corporate structure. Now, I am not saying that you are to quit your job; but if you are satisfied in this type of environment that is fine. If you are not I would recommend you start a business on the side and have a plan B.
Employees these days are expendable; the first sign of an economic crisis, hundreds of people are laid off.
Have a Plan B
If you are an employee you should have a plan B. In the event that a company goes down or faces financial challenges, you should have a business on the side that if you are laid off you will have something to fall back on. For a long time education has not been the saviour. Because even the most educated individuals cannot find jobs these days.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket, but diversify yourself. Have a job and work on a business part-time. That way you can ensure the security of you and your family.
