Be Prepared For A Disaster

In my life I have experienced three major California earthquakes (1971, 1989 and 1992). In 1996 I was living in South Dakota and experienced a tornado. Look at all the disasters this country has experienced since the year 2000 starting with the Y2k scare. Now our banks are in trouble along with the rising cost of consumer goods.
In this day and age it only makes sense to be prepared in case of a disaster. Several years ago a film was made called, "The Trigger Effect." If you had one hour to evacuate your home would you be ready? If you were safe in your home yet it was too dangerous to venture outside would you be able to cook, eat and get news information?
