Shiro Restaurant And Bar Lounge In Mumbai – A Place For Enjoying Pan-asian Food
Shiro Restaurant is tucked away at a convenient location at Worli in Mumbai. In a crowded city, where space is at a premium and everything seems crammed, this restaurant provides a refreshing expanse of space to enjoy your food. As you enter the restaurant, you are transported into something that’s a cross between a Zen monastery and a luxurious palace.
In fact, Shiro means "palace" in Japanese. The large stone statues provide a solemn, solid background, which is offset beautifully by the softness of water pools and bamboo thickets. The expanse of the 4000 sq ft area is enhanced by the high ceilings, the seating layout is very comfortable and yet, it provides a sense of privacy at the canopied tables.
Complimenting the fantastic ambience is fine cuisine that includes Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian dishes. The menu is quite impressive, with a wide variety of dishes, without being overwhelming. The best feature of the menu is its categorization of the various dishes, which makes it easier to narrow down your choice and find a particular dish. Equal importance ...
... has been given to vegetarian varieties, which is big plus point in Mumbai, where almost half the crowd is vegetarian.
If you are looking to taste the best variety of Asian cuisine, you will not be disappointed at this restaurant. You will find a fine blend of eclectic dishes that are infused with authentic flavors of the places from where they originate. There is a bewildering variety of Cantonese dim sum, and at the same time, there is an excellent choice of Japanese sashimi and sushi. When you want to taste the exotic herbs of Vietnam, or the multi-ethnic diversity of Thai cuisine, you can find it all at this restaurant.
Another notable feature of this restaurant is its well-stocked bar lounge, which is quite hard to find with this kind of ambience. There is a choice of regular international cocktails, which are served with a twist of Asian taste that makes them interesting and unique. There is also a list of beers, and their collection of fine wines is impressive.
Ending your meal is also a gastronomical delight, with their variety of excellent desserts. There is a mix of international favourites that have a unique twist. For instance, traditional Tiramisu is enhanced with a delicious mix of Kahlua and chocolate, and their Chocolate Sushi is unique and delicious. If you are looking for a fine dining experience coupled with excellent service, then Shiro is the ideal choice.
