Perhaps you have already broken up with your ex but you still care deeply about him/her. On one hand, you really wish to have your ex back to your side. You really want to get your ex back.

However, you are still not too sure. Emotionally, you tell yourself that you want him/her back. But logically, you do understand that not all relationship can be saved or is worth saving, so how can you come up with a good decision.

Well, there are no hard and fast rules and it depends on your situation. However, you might want to consider the following points.

1) Do you still love him/her?

While this may seem obvious, it is not really that obvious.

The point is many people tend to lie to themselves. They say they want to get their ex back because they still love their ex. You must try to be as honest with yourself as possible.

Is it because you think you can't live without him/her, that's why you want to get him/her back? Is it because you think life without him/her will be meaningless, that's why you want him/her back.

2) Does he/she still love you

If he/she is no longer interested, it may also be time for you to move on, though you may still want to try changing his/her mind. However, if he/she is already dating another person, you may want to consider moving on to another relationship. Of course, ultimately, the decision lies with you.
