The aim of the game is to create horizontal lines of blocks. Every time this happens, the horizontal lines of blocks disappear and any blocks that are lying above fall. The difficulty factor of the game increases as time goes by with the ever-increasing speed with which the tetrominoes fall. The game ends when the player tops out. Topping out is the term used when the tetrominoes end up reaching the top of the playing area preventing any more tetrominoes from entering into play.
