The first step towards achieving independence is being self sufficient. Thankfully, that’s not quite difficult these days. Dozens of job opportunities, either part time or full time are available these days, whether to provide an additional income or to serve as pocket money. Moreover, it is now possible to get a part time job even without a college degree. Not that these jobs are well paying, but say, you are a college student wishing for some extra money or you are in your 30’s and are looking for ways to save money, then the part time job ides that I have mentioned below are the best and most legitimate opportunities out there.
Work from anywhere on the Internet:
Part time jobs online is the new rage. All you need is a good Internet connection like Centurylink Internet, a working computer and you’re good to go. It’s even better if you have a laptop as you can carry your work anywhere. I mean you can work even when you’re riding the subway! So many, many job openings are available online in many different fields that don’t require skill or expertise. But of course, when you’re on the hunt for a job ...
... online, ensure that you land up with a legitimate job. Those quick and easy money making schemes? Yeah, don’t ever believe them, because it is not that easy to make quick money online and you’d probably end up working for peanut shells. Here are two of the best legitimate online jobs I’ve come across:
Freelancer.com: This a website through which a lot of people benefit from. It offers freelancing opportunities in practically every field. From photography to web designing to even interior designing you have a variety of job openings. This website programs in a way such that a third party client hires a freelancer and outsources their work to him/her. So basically, the client pays you and not the website. Fees and everything can be negotiated up to the client’s wishes. If they find your work to be satisfactory or more than that, they might even tip you something extra. Transactions will be made online through Paypal accounts. For those of you who don’t want to work under someone, this website is where you can be your own boss. Here’s where you can also showcase your interests and talents.
Amazon Mechanical Turk: I don’t think that this site is as popular as the one mentioned above. In fact, it is almost the same, AMT provides freelancing opportunities too. But the difference is that with AMT you don’t need to possess any kind of qualification whatsoever. AMT is basically a Human Intelligence tasks which require you to do tasks like sorting out or modifying data based on the client’s queries. For example you’ll be given a set of pictures say related to a holiday destination. It might be required that you sort these out on the basis of the location. Like winter destination spits, tropical islands etc. These tasks can be performed in a limited period of time. Again for example, an average person can sort out over 500 pictures such as these in over four minutes. It’s that simple.
But if you are for some reason unable to work from online, then you can try out other opportunities such as freelancing as a still photographer, writing articles, correcting exam papers etc. You can even try your hands with landscaping, design clothes, conducting extra classes to middle school kids, making and selling indigenous crafts etc. If you’re a tech savvy kind of person then you could even offer tech repair solutions either online or offline.
