Shootout tournaments

Shootout tournaments are quite similar to the elimination tournaments as the objective of both the tournaments is to have one player as a winner in the end. Shoot out is a type of multi table tournament in which a player remains at his original table until only one player is left standing . And if the player wins at that table then he advances to the next table and repeat the process against the each player who won their first table.

Re buy tournaments

A rebuy tournament gives the player opportunity to buy more chips during the event and can continue playing the tournament. In such tournaments players can re buy an unlimited amount of chips for a certain period of time, usually at the first, two or three levels of the tournament. One best thing about this tournament is that the winner of the tournament has the chance to win a bigger pot at the end.

Satellite tournament

Satellite tournaments can be referred as smaller tournaments or mini tournaments and in this type of tournament the winner is sent to a larger poker tournament. These types of tournament are less expensive and winning in this tournament gives the player opportunity to get an easy entry to a larger tournament directly.
