Over the last 50 years scientists have begun to study the relationship between calcium, vitamin D and its effects on cancer risk.
In search of this, scientists, in the 1950s, looked at weather situations and health figures in warmer regions of the world to authenticate that more sunshine gives a richer supply of vitamin D which was the cause given for the lowest death rates from colon cancers in those regions. Many studies since then have established the existence of a positive connection between vitamin D and calcium and the prevention of cancer, this can be prostate cancer right through to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This is especially true in cases of cancers.

Just recently there have been a couple of studies published with evidence about how calcium and vitamin D prevent cancer. When Harvard researchers conducted the first study with women who had not gone through menopause, it showed woman with elevated levels of vitamin D and calcium have a smaller chance of developing breast cancer than women with lesser levels of these nutrients. When Harvard researchers set-up the second study they came to the same conclusion, ...
... and confirmed that vitamin D and calcium products assist with the reduction of different kinds of cancer. These studies give us the evidence we need to comprehend the benefits of calcium and vitamin D in regards to preventing cancer.

In 1932 a man named Otto Warburg won the Noble Prize and came up with the assumption that cancer is caused by shortage of oxygen in the body. The blood in our bodies must always keep a steady alkaline level at a pH balance of 7.4; this will then help preserve the body's oxygen. To maintain the alkaline in the body you should regularly take a good number of minerals in your daily diet, not enough mineral intake can lead to cancer, arthritis and other chronic diseases due to the fluids turning acidic from not enough oxygen being supplied.
