Using other hair related chemicals – If you use other chemicals for your hair, such as coloring, relaxers, or perms, make sure that you put a good span of time between the treatments. Having a color job done then immediately, having a perm job done can cause adverse reactions in one or the other chemicals. Put as much time between treatments as you possibly can. 6-8
weeks is a suitable time span to wait.
When a product says test first, do it – There is a good reason product manufacturers say test on an inconspicuous area first. Make sure you do this, this can help you avoid massive reactions elsewhere.
