Cheap travel options abound to visit Las Vegas flying via cheap airplane tickets and staying at one of many discount hotel rooms, or purchasing cheap vacation packages. Although Vegas hotels are cheaper than ever, some hotels are better suited for families.

Mealtime can be made much more affordable by cooking in one of the full kitchens found in every suite. Full cable TV with over 40 channels is offered as well as Nintendo at an hourly rate and free board games.

• The Flamingo sports five pools, two whirlpools, a kiddie pool and waterslides set in a tropical environment accessorized with exotic birds and koi ponds. This hotel also offers very appealing family buffets. Children under the age of eight enjoy discounted meals while taking in a surrounding of birds, habitat and fishponds.

• If peace and quiet off the Strip is what you want for your family, then check out Henderson at the Green Valley Ranch resort. Guests enjoy the luxurious surroundings, as well activities specially designed for children, including an onsite multiplex. While it does offer a casino, adults can choose to play golf or sun by the pool.
