After going through a break up, if you still have feelings for your ex, you will probably be very concerned about this question, "Can I get my ex back?"

Well, it really depends on which stages of break up you are at. Have you just broken up a few days ago or have you broken up with your ex for quite some time already?

If you have already broken up for quite some time already, say more than 30 days, you will probably have sort through your feelings already.

Before asking whether you can get your ex back, perhaps you might want to ask another question, "Should I get back together with my ex?" This is a really important question to ask yourself before trying to get your ex back.

Here are some guidelines you might want to use:

1) Do you still love him/her?

While this may seem pretty straight forward but it is not really that simple. Sometimes, you may say that you still have feelings for your ex. But if you would try to look deeper, you will realize that your answer is, "I want to get him/her back because I won't be able to find someone better in the future."

... will try to justify your deeper reason with, "Yes, I still love him/her". The point I am trying to bring across is that, make sure it is really the "love" that makes you want to get him/her back.

2) Do you think he/she still have feelings for you?

Obviously, this is another important factor to consider. If he is already becoming indifferent towards you, then it may probably be time for you to move on. You should usually be able to tell whether he/she still has at least some feelings for you.

By being clear about what you really want, you will put yourself in a better position to get an ex back.
