There are many NGOs in India that are involved in many different projects. These NGOs are doing a very great job and helping many desperate Indians. India is a very big country with a big population, and the government finds it hard to provide for all the needs of the people so the NGOs are really playing a crucial role. A typical India NGO works with the poor in the slums and rural areas where their help is really crucial. Most of these NGOs rely on donor funding to finance the various projects that they are involved in. Raising enough money for welfare projects is not easy for any India NGO, and they try all means to make this happen.
The India NGO groups are working on various projects that are aimed at improving the lifestyles of the poor people. Some of the poor in India live in squalid conditions and lack even the most basic of needs. A lot of work needs to be done to improve the lives of these people, and it requires the combined efforts of the government and ...
... the NGOs. The Indian government has recognized that it cannot manage all these responsibilities a lone, and is therefore encouraging more India NGO groups to get involved in various forms of welfare work.
There are many India NGO groups involved in providing free education for poor children in the slums. Since most of these people live below the poverty line, they cannot afford to take their children to school. In most cases, there are no schools to begin with, or the ones that are there lack the necessary facilities for proper learning. These India NGO groups have built new schools and equipped the existing ones. They have also provided teachers and administrators for these schools. They provide free education and they also have free feeding programs for school going children.
There are times when various India NGO groups come together to work on huge projects that require more resources than they can afford individually. They come up with a functional policy frame work that will guide how they are working together to achieve their goals. The India NGOs also try to make sure that the various programs that they initiate reach and benefit the intended targets at the lowest level. Apart from providing free education to the children, the India NGO groups also have welfare programs for women to help boost them economically and teach them important life skills that will help them live better lives.
The India NGO groups also provide employment to many poor people through the various projects that they start. Instead of giving these poor people money directly, the NGOs are trying to teach them how to make money on their own so that they can use it to improve their lives and that of their families. The India NGOs regularly hold fund raising activities in order to get the money they need to run all these projects that they have started for improving the lives of the poor.
