When the Dodge Ram 2500 came out in 1994, it silenced all pickup truck critics by showing that pickup trucks can be designed to look like something other than a brick with wheels. Just like its steroidal sibling, the Dodge Ram 2500 showed a strong and muscle-bound look much inspired by big rigs – particularly the famous grille and the shouldered fender styling. This new look grew very popular with the truck buying community, since Ram sales elevated with the new model and would in due course elevate again in 1999.

The latest Dodge Ram 2500 comes with an even more muscle-bound body and engine, plus an all-around range of cab designs. In addition to the conventional cab, there was the four door Crew Cab and the Mega Cab that actually lived up to being “mega.”

The latest Dodge Ram 2500 is already in its fourth generation. Compared to the previous Dodge Ram 2500, the latest one had a modified design, a more fashionable interior, a renewed suspension and the new Crew Cab, which was traded for the previous Quad Cab styling of previous Dodge Ram 2500s.

The hardy pickup Dodge Ram 2500 is available in two wheel ...
... and four wheel drive and is available in a wide variety of body styles and trims. Body styles included the regular cab, the Crew Cab and Mega Cab. The regular cab comes with a long bed, the Mega Cab with a short bed and the Crew Cab offers both.

Dodge Ram 2500 trims available at Edmonton Ram 2500 dealers include the ST, the SLT and the Laramie. The higher trims offer non-compulsory particulars like a hard drive based navigation system, open wireless technology, leather seats and dual zone automatic climate control. Off road ready packages include the Power Wagon and the TRX which are perfect for Edmontonians travelling to the nearby Canadian Rockies.

The Dodge Ram 2500, available at Edmonton used car and truck dealers, come standard with a 5.7 liter V8 engine that can generate 383 horsepower and 400 pound feet of torque. All this power is controlled by a five speed automatic transmission. For those who want more power under the hood, there is the 6.7 liter inline six cylinder Cummins turbo diesel engine that generates 350 horsepower and whopping 650 pound feet of torque.

With amazing power and versatility combined with size and mean looks, Dodge Rams remain one of the best pickup trucks available in dealerships today. For more information about Edmonton Ram 3500 and other Dodge Rams, visit pickuptruck.com.
