Okay, so maybe the “artsy” thing isn’t your cup of tea and you are more of the adventurous, outdoorsy type. Never fear……just twenty short minutes down the highway and you can be at the World Famous Six Flags Over Texas. If you like roller coasters, you must ride the Texas Giant, the Mine Train, the Batman Ride and Mr. Freeze. Hold onto your hats though…..itsgonna be a bumpy (and spine tingling) ride! You can take a break from the Texas Heat and go see a show at the Southern Palace where the brightest young stars in the metroplex will be there to entertain you.
What’s that you say…..you want sports on your vacation? There’s no better place than right here in the metroplex to see any one of your favorite Texas teams. Right up the street from Six Flags is the home of the two time American League Champions Texas Rangers. The Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Stars and the Dallas Cowboys are all right here in the area as well. Although the cowboys may not be playing in the summer, you should definitely take a tour of what Texan’s affectionately call “Jerry’s World” ……better known as Cowboy’s ...
... Stadium. One of the premier stadiums in the nation, you will be surprised how beautiful a sports complex can really be.
Don’t think just because you aren’t near a beach that you can’t get a little wet either. Right across the highway from Six Flags is Hurricane Harbor Water Park. If we have any kind of summer even close to what we had last year, you will be glad you packed your cooler and headed out to the water park. With a huge wave pool and a lazy river surrounding the entire park, you’re sure to keep cool even on the hottest days. Just be sure to bring lots of sunscreen.
I could go on and on about all the great sites, events, activities and fun the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex has to offer, but if you want to know more, maybe you should just come see for yourself. Make your reservations now at the Ramada Dallas Love Field Hotel and you’ll be within minutes of fun in every direction. We’ll just go ahead and turn on the air conditioner in your room and get it nice and cool for ya……why not…..you don’t have to pay the bill!!!!
