There are various causes of obesity and the main ones include poor diet, lack of physical activity, overeating, poor lifestyle choices and genes. When there is no balance between the consumption and the physical expenditure, it is very likely for a person to suffer from obesity. It is, therefore, advisable for a person to devote himself or herself to daily exercises. The benefits of exercises are many, and they not only ensure that one maintains normal weight, but also ensures that one avoids the risk of serious health conditions that are triggered by obesity.

The lifestyle choices, especially those that concern food have a very great impact on one’s weight. One of the bad choices of food that can contribute to increase in weight is when one eats more calories than he or she really needs. Other unhealthy food choices include eating fast or processed foods that contain high fat content, heavy intake of alcohol and eating out. Eating large portions of food than one already needs is also one of the main causes of obesity.

Lack of physical activity is also one of the major causes of obesity. Studies show that, ...
... most people who spend most of their time sitting for most of the day are more likely to be obese. Also those who rely heavily on their own cars to commute are prone to becoming overweight. These people can experience the benefits of exercises if they become more involved in various physical activities. Some of those activities include walking, swimming, jogging, cycling and stretching among many others.

Weight loss is the key benefit of exercises, but there are other several benefits of engaging in daily exercises. Anaerobic exercises can be very helpful in keeping one fit. These kinds of exercises involve weight lifting exercises, anaerobic exercises and muscle building exercises. These kinds of exercises are usually done in a gym with proper equipment that is meant to ensure the safety of the user. One can also opt for the aerobic exercises that are also known as cardiovascular exercises to increase the heart rate. These kinds of exercises are highly recommended to those who are looking forward to lose weight. Most of the exercises under the category of the aerobic exercises can be considered as hobbies or sports.
