A geothermal heat pump is essentially a central heating/ cooling system which is used to pump heat from the ground. Closed-Loop Systems

*Horizontal
This kind of system is extremely cost-effective as far as residences are concerned, especially for new construction with enough land around. This needs trenches with a depth of around 4 feet. It can also be with two pipes arranged side-by-side at 5 feet below the ground within a trench that is 2 feet wide.
*Vertical
