Are you planning to send out an invitation to all your colleagues at office or to those living in your neighborhood for your kid's birthday party or your first anniversary party? Are you planning a day long picnic cum fun event for a group of friends? You should definitely start out with bordered paper that is appropriate for the purpose. These and dozens of other occasions need a beautifully printed paper with elegant borders to enthuse the recipient and bring some excitement into the event. Whether it is a children's event, an outing to the zoo or a picnic, your invitations to friends and family members will look far more exciting when you print the same on a beautiful glossy, satin or matte paper with lovely borders that reflect the theme.

The 8.5 X 11 inch bordered paper is the most commonly used size although you can go for exceptions with a longer 9.5 X 4.5 inch paper. A great use of the paper is that it sets the tone of a letter. A navy blue, teal, maroon or even a dark green velvety border gives the letter a very official look. It could be sent out as an invitation for a felicitation function or ...
... a conference of likeminded people. Similarly, you can use a paper bordered with images of snowmen or reindeer carriages, as an invitation for a Christmas dinner. A romantic letter would look even touchier when it is bordered by maple leaves or roses on one side. A poem or an essay would look really impressive with a border that simulates the spiral binding look of a diary.

24lb paper stock is ideal for bordered paper so that it is neither too thin nor too thick. Such a paper can be printed out on both sides without the colors playing around with content on the other side. You can use borders of stars, bandannas, stripes, poppies, flowers, rainbows or even playgrounds. An invitation to a birthday party can have a beautiful border made of colorful candle images with the whole card standing out with a cake letterhead. There are specific borders for winter barbeques, summer pool parties and jungle animals that can be used. The borders can also add context when you are sending fundraising letters to patrons for contribution to social causes, such as to preserve a forest or animals in a zoo.

There are photo glossy papers, business papers, designer papers and preprinted bordered paper for different events like graduation, seasonal greetings, weddings or sports and music festivals. These papers can be purchased in bulk for discounts from top suppliers too. You can pick any of the hundreds of ideas for borders available online. These templates can be printed out on a paper with the right finish of your choice. Besides, you can also choose colors and mix and match them with the patterns and play around with ideas until you come up with a look that you find satisfactory and beautiful enough to be sent out.
