If you are, you might want to book a place in one of the several well-known Riads in Marrakech for an authentic Moroccan experience.

Are you planning to go to Marrakech with your family this upcoming summer holiday? If you are, you might want to book a place in one of the several well-known Riads in Marrakech for an authentic Moroccan experience. Known as the Ochre City, Marrakech is one of the largest cities in Morocco and is situated near the Tensift River at the hills of Atlas Mountains.

You may have read that the history of Marrakech goes back to the 11th century when an Almoravid leader decided to use the place as a capital city. Today, Marrakech is home to more than 1 million residents, with a significant number of expatriates (more than 10,000 of them), and millions of tourists visiting the city annually. Yves Saint Laurent and Jean Paul Gaultier are two of the several notable Europeans who choose to reside in Marrakech.

While you are in Marrakech, keep in mind to bring your digital camera everywhere. The authentic culture, with fragrant, flower-scented streets, is likely to mesmerise you in an instant. ...
... Take snapshots in front of the Bab Agnaou city gate or see the sunset near the train station. Stroll along the city around Menara gardens and do not forget to taste street food at Djemaa el Fna square in the evening. Djemaa El-Fna is the highlight of any Marrakech night. Musicians, dancers, and story tellers pack this square at the heart of the medina, filling it with a cacophony of drum beats and excited shouts

The Menara gardens, which are located west of the city, and consist of a mixture of orchards and olive groves surrounding a central pavilion which is a popular sight on tourist postcards. The pavilion was built during the 16th century Saadi dynasty, and renovated in 1869. It has a small cafe.

There is so much to see and do in Marrakech. An entire day can be dedicated to wandering around all the different souks, seeking out the best bargains. The Souks (suuqs), or markets of Marrakech, just adjacent to Place Djemaa El-Fna, are where you can buy almost anything. From spices to shoes, jellabas to kaftans, tea pots to tagines and much, much more

For a more authentic Marrakech experience, you can stay at a riad where you and your family members can stay in one-, two-, or three-bedroom riads with exquisite living area, bedroom, dressing room, library, and private terrace with sun deck, butler, fireplace, and plunge pool, to name a few.

There are countless fantastic riads in Marrakech, most of which offer first-quality services and an incomparable atmosphere. Find a well-respected Riads that have good access to the city’s tourist attractions and reserve today before it is fully booked. My favourite, Royal Mansour’s riads are elevated to new heights with three floors of luxury. Whether one-bedroom, two or three, comfort and refinement abounds. Each room is a perfect expression of attention to detail and elegance. A magical array of fabrics, silks, carpets and carved ceilings… At the heart of the riad, you will find a delightful courtyard with a fountain, or relax on the roof terrace with its sun deck and chimney...

If you choose a Royal Mansour as your accommodation in Marrakech, you will certainly want to come back to this magical city.
