The history of bingo game can be traced back to the year 1530, during the times of playing of "Lo Giuoco del Lotto D'Italia.” The game was quite popular in Italy and it is even still played. ... to “Bingo.” This change in name happened because he overheard someone yelling the name “Bingo” instead “Beano.”


Soon after, Edwin S. Lowe hired a Columbia University math professor, Carl Leffler, for the purpose of increasing the combination of cards. It was in the year 1930 that Leffler invented 6,000 different bingo cards.
