Wedding showers can seem like an afterthought. On top of the hundreds of details involved in planning the ceremony itself, they can strike you as nothing more than a watered-down bachelorette party! Take your guests somewhere. There’s no requirement for your shower to take place in a home or reception hall. If you're the adventurous sort, you could host a rock climbing shower; or, if you want to take the bridesmaids out for a treat, you could host at a spa. This sort of thing is ideal for smaller events-- in other words, ones where you don't have to worry about entertaining children or uninterested friends and family. However, you could easily chose a popular activity. A bowling shower would be likely to please most of your guests.

Planning a wedding shower may be stressful on top of everything else you have to do, but in the end, it's a great opportunity to connect with your guests. Weigh your options and enjoy the outcome.
