Alappuzha or Alleppey is a lovely coastal town in Kerala. A picturesque backwater location, it is crisscrossed by canals and rivers and lagoons. This town is located 63 km from Kochi.

Its waterways can be as busy as the roads. Alleppey is referred to as the Venice of the East because of the many canals and lakes and rivers that dot its landscape.
