For the modern lady, saving time in the kitchen is a top priority as she has loads of other work to juggle. She has to divide her time between fending for the kids and still look gorgeous when her husband brings in his colleagues from office for an evening of fun, unannounced. Time and labor saving devices are mandatory for today’s woman as she shuffles between home and work. And the microwave is one of the home and kitchen appliances that’s truly reduced the workload of women across all strata.
Some women still prefer to cook over direct heat. They presume that food tastes best when it’s cooked in the traditional method. But apart from saving time, there are various other advantages of cooking in a microwave:

• To start with, the lady can cook in absolute peace and she need not slog in the hot, humid interiors of the kitchen. If she has to entertain guests and she is running short of time, she can still deck herself up and cook the food in the microwave, comfortably seated under the fan.

• There ...
... are some dishes that need baking, grilling and roasting and arranging the entire set-up of mud ovens and barbeques is just not possible in today’s modern apartments. The microwave has all these features. From boiling to roasting, grilling to baking, apart from normal cooking, all the features are there. And they can be operated with just a twist of a knob or a press of a button.

• Microwave cooking does not demand extra amounts of fat and oil. That naturally cuts down the intake of calories and keeps the body fit. Unlike stove cooking, where pans of oils are required to deep fry certain food stuff, the same taste can be achieved with a mere brushing of oil or butter and with the clever use of the grill function.

• One also does not have to worry about warming food. That would take just about a minute in the microwave. Moreover, the microwave prices in India have largely reduced. Any one can have it between 6000 to 12000 INR. Some cost more, depending on the brand, but by and large it’s well within everyone’s budget.

So if you are one of those who shuns microwave thinking that the food would not taste that good, then do install one right now. Your food and the cooking experience will definitely change for the better.
