Traveling Asia is something that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. When you travel to Asia, there are so many things to see and do. Travel in Asia is inexpensive and opens the door to different cultural experiences. Asia offers up many fabulous destinations for the adventurous traveler.

Let us take a tantalizing glimpse at just some of the countries.

Thailand:

Located in Southeast Asia Thailand has some of the most amazing Islands In Asia. There are many reasons why people travel to Thailand and keep coming back; to name a few the food is simply outstanding, the Thai people are incredibly friendly, and your money goes a very long way.

Thailand is studded with islands of all shapes and sizes each with their own unique qualities. Some are very busy and developed like the well-known island of Phuket. Others like Koh Chang are less traveled and showcase untouched natural beauty. There is Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao located in the heart of the gulf of Thailand each sporting their own style of tropical paradise. Vietnam:

Have you ever considered taking a Vietnamese Holiday? Vietnam is an interesting country, full of culture and natural beauty. Not only is the country a developing nation it is also somewhat new to having backpackers roaming about. It wasn’t until the late 1990's did their tourism industry get going. Places like the untouched Phu Couq Island will surely be a very expensive resort getaway in a decade or so.

Asia Islands - Vietnam demands a bit of a thicker travel skin for the average visitor. Compared to neighboring Thailand who has been in the swing of things for a lot longer, one must adjust to the lack of English spoken, friendly service, and food options. You can find excellent cheap accommodations here but they won’t be beach front or come with a pool unless you’re willing to shell out some cash. Don’t get me wrong, Vietnam is a blast but sometimes it is just not for everyone.

Cambodia:

Destination Cambodia. Be aware Cambodia is the poorest country in southeast Asia. After spending a month in Cambodia then heading to Bangkok you will feel like Thailand is a rich country. So if you plan on traveling and seeing the wonders Cambodia has to offer, bring an open mind and get ready to see some intense poverty.

Once you get over the initial shock of the occasional homeless child asking for table scraps, places like Sihanoukville can be a backpacker’s paradise. With free flowing happy smoke, five dollar rooms, beautiful beaches, and cheap eats it’s no wonder why many travelers have decided to simply stay put here.

Kampot and Kep are a couple of relaxed and secluded places travelers enjoy to hang out at. Phnom Phen is the capital and feels more like a small tourist city than an actual densely populated business center. One can not leave Cambodia without visiting the main draw of the awe inspiring Ankor Wat located in Siem Reap, a town built for tourists visiting the famous ruins.

Cambodia is a great place to visit with plenty to see and do, just be mindful of cleanliness when choosing a restaurant, don’t expect to find hot showers at every guesthouse as most of them do not offer it, and if you don’t have a big budget you will certainly have to be ok with a little grunge in your lifestyle.
