Blackberry Manufacturer’s Senior Executives Stepped Out Of The Company

As per hearsay from the people in close link with BlackBerry maker firm Research In Motion Ltd. (RIM), many of the senior executives of the company have stepped out of the company in last few days in the midst of the tactical option assessment. After the release of quarterly result, Thorsten Heins, the Chief Executive stated last week that the company will carry out an assessment on tactical opportunities. The company has faced lots of predicaments and its products have suffered a lot at mobile marketplace in competition with Apple and Google Android devices.

Two of the most valuable posts in the company, Chief Technology Officer and Chief operating Officer Posts are vacant as the senior executives of the respective posts have resigned from RIM Inc. and also Jim Balsillie, former co-chief executive has stepped down from the company’s board. Thorsten said that the Jim Balsillie had left the post along with former co-chief Mike Lazaridis in last January handing all their responsibility over to him.

... are heard to walk off the RIM. One of the walked-out officers is Alistair Mitchell, a Toronto resident and vice-president of BlackBerry Messaging and instant messaging department. The news was unveiled by a spokeswoman of the firm. Mr. Mitchell, however, was not available to comment upon this. The spokeswoman also confirmed that the vice president of BlackBerry department, Alan Brenner, a San Francisco dweller, will also leave the firm as soon as his transition period will be over. Mr. Brenner, also, was not present to comment on this news.

The spokeswoman then denied revealing any further information on further departures of executives. Sales of BlackBerry devices fell quite sharply in the latest quarter as affirmed by RIM last week. This fall led the RIM Co. to decline in its first profits in entire seven years of its marketing. Concluding all what BlackBerry’s manufacturer RIM Ltd. has faced since last year so far is its numerous senior executives departure from the company; fall in BlackBerry devices sale and hence the profits; and emigration of head of marketing of the company before the launch of PlayBook.
