The sense of smell casts many wonderful effects on all living beings. Different aromas have different effects which are proved medically as well. The art of using aroma for various reasons is not a new concept. It dates back to Mesopotamian and Egyptian Era. The Romans and Persians have also contributed much to the development of perfumes and fragrances. The art of perfumery was known to ancient Hindus, Chinese, Israelites, and the reference of perfume can be found in Bible also. Designer fragrances are a new concept which has evolved of late.

Fragrances range from high end brand which are designer fragrances to ordinary cheap brands. This is because every person irrespective of his financial status is fond of perfumes. To cater to this need, all types of ranges of fragrances are available in the market. Earlier perfumes were based on natural products like flowers and were the extracts of the flowers. Thereafter, the chemical perfumes were launched, which had very good demand.

With the increase in demand for perfumes from cheap brands designer fragrances are also catching up. Perfumes are released on the name of the celebrity like an actor or actress. Designer perfumes are also released to mark a particular occasion. Also one can get a combination of mix of aromas as per his wish and can get them branded on their names. This is generally done by celebrities.

Designer fragrances from famous brands like Calvin Klein, Fendi are the costliest ones. Using a designer fragrance has become a symbol of status for many. In contrast, there are cheap brands used by common man to satisfy his desire of using perfumes.
