The fire alarm isn't just an irritant in the office. It's there to save lives. Fire is one of the biggest dangers in any workplace. It only takes one small mistake and suddenly there's a major incident and lives are at stake. A small bin fire can take hold and spread suddenly with very little warning. Quicker than many people realise. The fire drill and the alarm test are a small price to pay for early warning against a potentially life threatening situation. That alarm could make all the difference when danger strikes.

Without fire alarm systems buildings and the staff inside are horribly exposed to the dangers of fire. Fire rules and regulations are there for a reason. They help to save lives. It's easy to assume that there's no threat and it will never happen, but when it does people are grateful for the alarm and the knowledge they have to evacuate safely and stay out of harm's way.

The firm alarm must be tested regularly to ensure it is in working order. Otherwise employers and building owners are gambling with people's lives. It's always important to take it seriously too. It's most probably a test or a drill, ...
... but people inside should never assume anything. One day it might be the real thing.

Employers need to know where they can turn to purchase state of the art fire alarm systems that are effective and reliable. Systems that will give years of service and protect the staff who work inside the building. The Safety Centre are experts in this field. They know fire safety inside out and can provide the equipment and the consultancy to help building owners and managers to ensure the necessary safeguards are in place should a fire start and spread. These alarms save lives and that's a fact.
