Do you have allergies that you can't seem to control? Do you sneeze and cough and feel as though someone stuck two roles of toilet paper in your nostrils or even the other way around where your nose just won't stop running? If you're like millions of people just like me you have a problem with allergies, and to make that matter even worse you own a pet. There is almost nothing like this situation and if you don't like taking prescription meds for the rest of your life I am here to give you some suggestions as to what you can do to lessen or even overcome this problem.

There is a common misconception that if your dog is a breed that has short or no hair at all that your exposure to allergens will be minimal. I am here to tell you that is simply not the case. My dog is a little chiwawa and he has short hair but that itself didn't stop my horrible allergies kicking in anytime he got close to me. My main suggestion for anyone suffering this same problem is to keep your pet outside for most of the day to try and minimize your exposure to allergens. It will give him a chance to be outside also which most seem to appreciate. ...
... This might only work if you live somewhere that the weather always stays within decent temperatures. If that's not your case the best thing you can do is try to keep him in an area that you don't go too often.

My main suggestion is to buy him a dog bed. This will be a place where your pet spends most of their time. This will lessen the chances that you will come in contact with allergens. The best thing that you can do at this point is to make sure you keep the bed clean in order to insure that the allergens that are collected there don't end up traveling to other parts of your home. To do this the simplest way to go is to wash the bed itself. This is where buying a bed that has removable fabric and cushions come into play.

Another thing that you can do is to go to your local pet store and buy some wipes that are specifically made to eliminate pet dander and other types of allergens. You can simply use these wipes to wipe the allergens from your pet and offer yourself a means of eliminating as much as possible.

The best idea is to simply not have any contact with your pet but the simple fact that you have a pet means you can't do that. I hope using some of these steps will help you in the long run.
