There are very few people who do not want to create an impressive home. However, there are also surprisingly few people who want to spend the time or money making their home as attractive and as impressive as it could be. So if you have found yourself unable to get motivated to transform your house, there is a good chance you are not alone.

That being said, if you still want to create an impressive home, but haven’t got the time or money to totally transform your home, the best way to do it will be to do what the majority of people do: cheat.

It is easy to look like you have spent a great deal of money on your home without you actually having to pay out too much at all. Instead, with just a few simple, focussed changes, your whole home could look different with very little effort or cost.

The first thing to look at is your flooring. Changing carpets for solid wood flooring will do a huge amount to modernise any home, making it feel not only more attractive, but also warmer, brighter and more welcoming.

Oak flooring is also far cheaper than it has ever been and is not only a great way to improve ...
... the look of your home, but it will also increase the price you can ask when you come to sell, making it also a very good investment.

Creating space is also a very good way to make your home seem more impressive. By simply getting better shelving and storage solutions and clearing out a great deal of clutter, you may well find that your home instantly looks a huge amount more impressive.

Once you have solid wood flooring, you may also find that shutters are a good choice to replace curtains. Just as oak flooring will improve the aesthetics of any room and remove a huge amount of effort in terms of cleaning, making your home healthier too, wooden shutters are also likely to do the very same.
