Chardham Yatra is defined as the four pilgrimage centre tour .This tour is mainly the four sacred pilgrimage centers of north India that is Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. These places are very much famous among the tourists .This tour will leave a mark in the heart of the tourists which will never forgot in a life time. These four sacred places are mostly situated at the foothills of Himalayas which is mainly on the Uttarkhand state.

The religious importance of this famous Chardham Yatra in India is mainly covers the following four divine destinations.

Yamunotri Tour: Beginning of the tour is from the sacred Yamuna river. This place Yamunotri is mostly dedicated to goddess Yamuna. Here you can get the statue of goddess Yamuna which was built by Maharaja Pratap Shah. This sacred pilgrimage centre is located at westernmost shrine which is opposite to Gangotri.

Badrinath Tour: This place is mainly located at the bank of river Alakanda which is known as the residence of lord Vishnu. To visit this temple, devotees pass through the sublime hilly pathway and various curves that are surrounded by the scenically beautiful sights. It is mandatory for every tourist that before entering the temple you should take a bath in a natural hot water spring namely Tapt Kund, which is believed that to awash all the sins and purify the mind.

Kedarnath Tour: This temple is located in the slope of Himalayas which is 3583m above the sea level and a perfect place of the religious tour that is completely dedicated to lord Shiva. This temple was constructed by Sankracharya which is located on the bank of river Mandakini.The Kedarnath yatra will give you a chance to explore some other places also like Gandhi sarovar, gaurikund, Shankaracharya Samadhi, temple of sage Agastya etc.
