While their main reason for seeking this job may have been motivated by monetary rewards, one should look at the end result that has been achieved by private tutors. If there is an improvement in performance posted by private tutors, it is clear that these part time student jobs offer the answer to parents looking for tutors. Studies have shown that weaker pupils respond much better to their peers since they feel more at ease to express themselves thus enhancing the learning process.

We should therefore change our attitudes toward students who undertake these student jobs since they improve the academic performance of their pupils.
