2. Can I afford to lose my investment if the franchise fails?

3. Do I need partners or am I the independent type who wants to retain full control?

4. Is this franchise a good match for my talents, skills and experience?

5. Will the business enable me to earn as much as I need to sustain myself and my family or does this franchise have a foreseeable profit ceiling?

6. How many hours per week am I willing to put in to its operation and for what length of time?

7. Is my passion for the service or merchandise enough to keep me interested for the long haul?

8. Am I willing to fully cooperate with future changes that may be imposed by the franchisor in the future or, am I resistant to change?

9. Do I have the right personality type for franchising?

Knowing all these self-limiting factors are important to your future experience when looking at franchises to buy. Half of a franchise ownership is you.
