Some Facts Regarding Electric Components

If you have to go by definition, electric components can be referred to as a basic element that is available in discreet form. The unique thing about them is that they have two or more electrical terminals. These terminals are connected together by soldering to a printed circuit board. The basic components may be packed discretely as arrays or networks of like components. It can also be integrated inside packages such as semiconductor integrated circuits or thick film devices.
These components can be basically classified into two types. They can be active or passive. It is plain and simple. The components that cannot supply energy themselves are called passive. Active components act as a source of energy. A good example of an active component is a battery, which acts as a source of energy. Passive components can be further classified in Lossless components, and Lossy components. The first type does not have a net power flow in or out of the component. Examples of such components are inductors, and transformers. The second type, which is referred to as Lossy components ...
... do not have that capacity as they absorb power form the external circuit over time.
However, you may need to carry electricity form one point to another. Here, you will need wires to help you to do the job. When we speak of wiring the one thing, that immediately comes into our mind is copper wire. Copper has been used in wiring since electromagnet and the telegraph was invented in the year 1820. It is a time-tested product, which has stood the test of times. If you need electric wirings for buildings it is only copper, which is used. The advantage of using copper is the most electronic devices rely upon it. It has multitude and inheritant beneficial purposes.
