These rules are set for the safety of the masses. It is good to be adventurous and this is what most of us do while driving in highways or long deserted lanes. However what we should not forget in these adventures is the traffic rules.
It is very common for people to drive while they are drunk or under the influence of drugs. Since 1st of December 2003 it became an offence to use a mobile phone while driving. The fixed penalty was a £30 or up to £1,000 on conviction in court (£2,500 for drivers of goods vehicles, buses or coaches).The new rules are now applied to the drivers of motor vehicles on the road, including cars, motorcycles, goods vehicles, buses, coaches and taxis.
