The simplest and most inexpensive method of creating a green wall is to construct a freestanding trellis. A freestanding trellis can be made using wood or metal and it is used by anchoring it to the ground. A distance of around 6-8 inches is maintained between the wall and the trellis.
Before building a green wall or a freestanding structure around buildings you should make sure that it is permitted in your area. Some people use fences as free standing structures but it might require permit in some areas. Another alternative to trellis are cables or coated wires. There are a number of ways of creating green walls and you should always choose the way that suits you the most.
