A Wonderful Life

People such as costume designers, producers, actors, comedians, museum staff, day care centers, Make-A-Wish children, stained glass artists, soldiers, pet rescue centers, wine enthusiasts, and the list goes on and on.

Not long ago, we were amused to engage in a delightful email conversation with one of our Sassy scrubs customers who happened to be the Captain of a boat that was floating around in crystal blue waters, enjoying a sunny and wonderfully warm afternoon. Here, in the frozen North-East Snow Belt, we were experiencing falling snow and temperatures in the 20′s, so we tried mightily to swallow our envy and enjoy our brief connection.

Our customer, Captain Jerry, was emailing us while floating in his beautiful boat in the warm and lovely Bahamas, where he could receive internet access, but no telephone connection. His question, and the reason he had emailed us, regarded obtaining a Sassy Scrubs Gift Certificate for a good friend of his who lives to the North of us - and who was probably suffering through similar cold and snowy weather right along with us. I'm sure his thoughtful and generous gift helped ...
... add a little warmth to her day! As we assisted him, he told us about how much he loves his job helping folks enjoy the wonder and beauty of the plentiful, playful dolphins in the surrounding bays.

Thinking of our Captain Jerry today makes me smile, despite the continued grey skies outside my window. What a wonderful life to lead….drifting merrily along sun-drenched beaches in azure waters, the smell of coconut scented 45SPF sunscreen on the breeze. All with the companionship of friendly folks, grateful for what you do and the once-in-a-lifetime experience you can share with them.

Isn't that what we all want? Although we can't always have the perfect weather in our own environments, we can certainly try to make the day we spend with others a pleasant journey for those around us, and for ourselves. Thanks, Captain Jerry, for letting us enjoy your day with you and reminding us of the "right" way to spend a good day. We'll keep this in mind at Sassy scrubs today, and try to share it with all of you. Here's to a wonderful life, and a good day, today.
