The other day I visited a friend of mine who holds a good position in one of the leading multinational corporations. He is himself a bookworm and has created a compact library in his house. He has great interest in all kinds of books from history to psychology and technology. However, at this point in time his major time is occupied by his position of a regional head in strategy and marketing, so needless to mention that he had an impressive array of management and self help books.

The neatly decorated book shelf, with books of varied sizes and colors and subjects was so welcoming that I could not resist myself to go near it to have a closer look at the collection. All the glorious names of management literature shone brightly on the racks along with stalwarts of other fields. As my friend suggested me to take that home and read it with time in hand. I was happy to receive it and after a long chat I returned home eager to read the book.

I did not get time to read such a book for quite some time now, so I started reading it with great interest and very minutely. I wanted to read this book cover to cover and gain ...
... all the inspiration I could get. I must say the book was extraordinary in more than one way. Divided into manageable number of chapters, it gave very lucid and cogent idea of the trait and qualities of successful people. Positive thinking, walking that extra mile, resilience all were part of great people. There were few practical tips on how to imbibe such qualities in ones character. I noted few things which I thought would be of great help to me in future. As I read the concluding chapter, I really started having goose bumps. It said that all the previously mentioned qualities when coupled with patriotism, feeling for the nation and its people and the urge to give back to the nation then only it makes a respectable and successful person.

Nothing can be truer than this observation and however a person becomes successful if he does not have a feeling for the nation, respect for the flag, pride in singing the anthem he is but money making machine not a respectable professional.

Flag is one identity of a country which individuals start to relate with the nation and patriotism from the very childhood.
