A map, which provides detailed information about real property within a specific area, is known as a cadastral map. The government usually maintains these maps, as they are a material of public record. Anyone who wishes to view such maps can to go to the office, which maintains the records, and ask to see them. Cadastral mapping includes various details, including information about who owns the land, tax rates, types of structures present, what the zoning is in the region, and many more. All the information is intended to contextualize the area of the map by providing the viewers with detailed information about the land.

The fictional sense of a parcel is an area of land, usually with sole owner or tenant, land class and use, and bounded by fence, wall, bond, or boundary markers. The concept of Parcel mapping dates back to ancient China, Egypt, and Babylonia. However, with the expansion of worldwide population and due to rising property values and rapid development, the importance ...
... of having accurate parcel maps was realized. The main use of parcel mapping is that it allows for easy identification of a property along with locating a property, adjacent properties and relative to public ways. A parcel map should adequately reflect size and shape of each individual parcel owned in a town.

The process of collection of data compiled and formatted into a virtual image is known as Digitization of maps. The method involves preparing maps in which the data is stored in a computer for easy access and updating the details for future use. The most important function of this technology is to create maps that offer precise representations of a particular area, detailing main road network and other points of interest. The technology allows calculating the distances from once place to another, creating digital representations of geographical features, using raster, or vector images and for explaining the process of populating databases with files or data.

It carries thorough information about location and rather than just showing the boundaries and provide measurements on each lot. GPS locations are used as well, so that people clearly understand where everything on the map is in the real world. Cadastral mapping will emphasize specific landmarks, which people can use to familiarize themselves within the map, including natural features such as lakes and streams and buildings. The officials regularly update these maps and these provide information about property rights, and a history of the rights in the area. These maps serve as an essential part for student’s projects and for the researchers who requires them for their detailed study.
