One of the cheapest ways to cover your windows so that you black out light and also insure privacy is to use roller shades. They are easy enough to install and simply roll down and up when you want to let light in or out. They are very inexpensive and easily installed in the window jambs. You just need a screwdriver to put them in, although you may want to use a drill to drill the hole to make it easier. If you want to get them and get them in a hurry, then the place to order them is online. Measure your windows to where you plan to put the roller shades and then order accordingly. This is the best way to get something over your windows that is cheap and can be purchased in a hurry.

If you want something more decorative than the shades, however, you can use wood blinds. Wood blinds are high quality and stand well on their own. Whereas shades just roll up and down, the blinds can be opened with the slats or rolled up and down. They offer more of an attractive look to the home than shades and do not have to be covered up. A lot of people will cover the shades with curtains or drapes so they do not show as they ...
... are not decorative on their own. However, when you get blinds, they do not have to be covered. Blinds are considered decorative forms of window treatments today.

There are different sizes of blinds. There are the mini blinds with the small slats and then those that have the larger slats. Be sure to look at projection when you are ordering as you want to be able to open and close the slats without them being blocked by the window. When you have large slat blinds, chances are that you are going to hang them on the outer part of the window. Smaller blinds, like the minis, can be hung in the interior of the window in the jambs. Both work well as a way to insure privacy as well as keep out light. Some blinds, such as those made of wood, will keep out light even better than the vinyl blinds that tend to let a little light in because of the materials from which they are made.

Regardless as to whether you want to get some high quality blinds or simple shades, you can get what you want for less when you choose to shop at an online outlet that sells these products. The online outlet is the ideal place to get what you want when it comes to both blinds as well as shades. They offer very cheap prices and are easy to use. The site itself is simple and you can shop whenever you want for the type of window treatments you are looking for. You can place a secure order online and then the items will be shipped to you. This is much better than going to a store because you get a better price as well as the convenience of being able to shop at home.
