When thinking about covering up your windows, you may wonder whether or not you should use shades or blinds. Blinds are a bit more costly and are a bit more decorative. Shades, however, are a great way to cover up the window for cheap. They come in a variety of styles such as those that will let a little light in and those that will totally block out the light. When you want to totally block out the light and have privacy for the cheapest way possible, these are what you want.

Blinds, on the other hand, offer more options. You can open the slats in the blinds and let in a little light while still maintaining privacy. Express faux wood is a cheap way to get good looking blinds in the house as well. While a person may be tempted to cover up a shade with a curtain or drape, as most people do, they do not have to go through this when they install blinds. Blinds stand on their own as an acceptable way to cover the windows in a decorative manner. You do not have to cover them up nor will you want to when you use express faux wood. This looks good enough on its own and is a good way to decorate without spending a lot ...
... of money.

There are real wood shades you can get online as well as some nice fabric shades that can lend for a softer look in a room. Needless to say, there are many options out there for you when you want to cover up your windows. If you are looking for the best selection with regard to these options as well as the best price for them, then be sure to take a look at those that are available at an online outlet. If you go to an online outlet, you can find what you are looking for and right from your own computer. This is not only a way to get the biggest variety as well as the best price, but it is also a way to get them delivered right to you without a hassle.

Buying them online means having to install them, but this is a piece of cake. The only thing you have to do is measure where you want the blinds to go. Then write down each window and the measurement that you are ordering. You will then be able to install the blinds upon receipt in one day. The only tools needed are a level, some sort of power drill and screwdriver that you can get very cheaply at any hardware store. Nothing elaborate, just something to drill holes in the wall where the screws go. If you do not have a power screwdriver, just get a plain old Phillips head screwdriver to do the job for you. This is a very simple installation process that anyone can do. For larger blinds, such as verticals, you may want to ask for someone to hold up one end, although most people can even put these up on their own. This is an easy project, you can get the blinds for less right online and decorate your windows while saving a lot of money and not even having to leave the house.
