Characteristic Traits Of Highly Effective Emergency Dash Lights

Emergency dash lights are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and designs. The features depend on the manufacturer, their cost and also their overall design. However, effective emergency LED lights and dash lighting equipment have some characteristic features in common which should not be ignored when they are purchased. The most obvious but impressive feature of these dash lights that can be mounted near the dash, on the rear deck or adjacent to the windshields is that they are quite compact in size which allows you to use them in any position or on any point of the vehicle as far as mounting is concerned. They are portable and are ideal for temporary mounting on different unmarked vehicles used in different kinds of emergencies.
The emergency dash lights usually come with a flashback shroud or hood which is an important component. It is in place to protect the driver from flashy bright lighting that could affect driving especially when the dash lights are mounted very close to the dash board. Also, emergency LED lights like dash and deck lights come with a black, rugged polycarbonate ...
... or anodized aluminum base which protect the lighting equipment from severe vibration as well as from moisture. Lenses are sealed at the base in some cases while some kinds of equipment come with epoxy coating for additional protection.
An interesting aspect of the emergency dash lights is the use of dual color LEDs in split segments which give you additional effectiveness in lighting in spite of a very small size. In other words, if you have a split segment with six, 4 Watt blue LEDs and another half a dozen red LEDs of the same wattage, you can get a higher number of flash sequences going when it is time to emit a powerful warning signal. Besides, the combination of these colored LEDs is far more effective than the flashing of mono-colored LEDs. A very useful trait of the emergency LED lights is the split array arrangement which means the compact equipment is not affected due to malfunctioning of one or more LEDs. Some dash lights even have a wide angle dome encapsulating the LED segments to widen the beams while also protecting them from moisture and dust. Such domes with their smooth exteriors can be useful in preventing dust from settling on the lights.
Emergency dash lights usually come with an array of mounting options which is a sure sign of reliability and commitment to the cause and need of the consumer. L brackets, grommet mount kits, suction cups and window mounting brackets are all part of an elaborate kit, which gives you a wide number of options when it comes to mounting the dash lights. Emergency LED lights will also benefit from spare lenses which are usually made of polycarbonate. These replaceable inner and outer Fresnel lenses combined with reflectors enhance the lighting emitted by the dozen or so LEDs used in the dash lights. Lastly, waterproof cables and pigtail connectors along with slide bolts and screws must be present in the kit too.
