Your brilliant video concept came to you in a dream, and you hired a terrific New York corporate video production company, you`re delighted with the final product, and you sent the link to everyone on your email list, including your mother and your barber.

Your brilliant video concept came to you in a dream, and you hired a terrific New York corporate video production company, you`re delighted with the final product, and you sent the link to everyone on your email list, including your mother and your barber. Yet you`re not getting the views you feel you deserve. How do we remedy this common problem??

YouTube isn`t just for music videos, animals doing funny things, and little kids dancing. It`s also a major marketing tool in today`s business world. Now, you may never be able to compete with the popularity of a German Shepherd puppy, but here are a few ways to stay ahead of the pack in your marketing efforts.

1) Be clear

- What is your video about? The more concise and direct your video is, the easier it will be to market. Everything from your tags to your title to the category in which you list your ...
... video has to reflect a consistent vision.Since we also do animated video production, we try very hard to leverage this medium and deliver clear messages through our videos.

2) Dedication

- Youtube marketing is not a part-time job! Make sure you designate a person or persons within your company to keep up on your views, marketing trends, and affiliated brands. The methods through which to market your video are constantly changing and expanding. You have to commit for success.

3) Consistent tagging

- Just like being clear, make sure your tags are accurate and descriptive. Link your videos to partner videos, respond to videos with your own videos instead of comments, and in writing your descriptions, don`t be bland! Tell a story. Engage the viewer before they press `play` - because if your description is bland, they may not even get to that point! So, for example; As a New York video Production company. we consistently ensure that we have the tags "Video Production New York" in all our videos.

4) Don`t declare

- Enquire! Most of your video will be `telling` information to your viewers, or explaining something. Be sure to engage them as well, particularly in your closing. Inspire them to comment, or respond with their own videos. You want to start a dialogue, and you want people to return to your video to see if their comments have been addressed. Anything to increase views will lead to marketing success.

5) Be visible

- Along with having a video page on your site, link to and promote your videos whenever possible in other areas. Cite your videos in your articles and attach links, mention this week`s video in your News section, tweet about your video. post it on Facebook....you get the idea. The more avenues you provide for your video to be found, the greater chance it will be watched!

6) Make friends

- Subscribe to groups and users with video content similar to yours - but not competitors, of course! If you begin to interact with others in your industry whose needs may coincide with your offerings, you will be able to comment on videos and link to others` sites, always connecting that information to your own video and site.

7) Do business!

- Have you found a site with little to no video, but that in some way connects to your product or service? Why not consider a distribution deal? If it`s not Joe Schmo`s Site with 2 views a week, you could gain a substantial viewership and, therefore, more clients!

8) Video Responses

- Maybe you`re making your own videos, with ideas from scratch - why not also respond to others` videos.....with a video? Youtube offers the Video Response option - you can make more of an impact with what would have otherwise been a text comment, and you can add graphics to link to your business in as many ways as possible.

9) Transcripts & Captioning = SEO success

- If you embed your transcript into your video, it`s not going to do much in the way of assisting your search results. Search engines find difficulty with multimedia content, at least at this stage in the internet age. (Rhymes!) If you have the media transcript separate from the media itself, it will increase the video`s accessibility - not only for those who are unable to view/listen to videos, but for searching purposes.
