One of the animals that most children are fond of or exited about is dinosaurs. In fact, not only do children get exited, however, even grownups are interested just by listening to its name. Coming to the origination of dinosaurs, these animals are considered to have originated from the reptile family. In fact it was the earliest reptile that survived on earth. There are different categories of dinosaurs like the Triassic Dinosaurs, Jurassic Dinosaurs, Cretaceous Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and few other kinds. The Triassic dinosaurs lived during the period of 250 to 203 million years ago. However, before the Triassic Era, there were large reptiles which were not considered as dinosaurs. During this time there were changes in the worlds atmosphere and life forms. This is also the Era where mammals started to appear in the oceans as well. The dinosaurs of the Triassic era were considered much smaller than ones in the later periods.

The Cretaceous Era of Dinosaurs is the period of 135 to 65 million years before. It is believed that that this is the last of the dinosaur evolution chain. For reasons unknown all dinosaurs became extinct at the end of this Era. There is a lot more Dinosaur Species in the Cretaceous Era than the other two dinosaur times. The fossil discoveries typically are in much better quality than the other two prehistoric time lines and due to evolution there was many more species. The most famous dinosaurs known are of the Cretaceous era like the massive Tyrannosaurus and the fearsome Velociraptor. Some of the kinds of Dinosaurs during this area are Adasaurus, Nanotyrannus, Achelousaurus, Nigersaurus and Afrovenator. Pterosaurs meant winged lizards. These flying reptiles hold a unique place in the history of the life in earth. In addition to insects these creatures were the first to successfully crowd the skies. Pterosaurs were first discovered by a group of international researchers from the Geological Institute of Beijing in the country of China and the University of Leicester situated at the United Kingdom. This group was the first to show a clear evidence of a controversial and unusual type of evolution.
