When I found myself in dire need of new carpet, I went on a long search through the various flooring stores in my area. To go backward a tiny bit, I own a rental house that has been a nice source of extra income for me and my family. We have also always had wonderful tenants, thank goodness, that have taken care of the house well and never get behind in the rent. The carpet was totally ruined one day, when a pipe burst and completely flooded the floor, destroying the carpet.

The issue was that the pipes were way too old, having been original to the house, and they had corroded away until they fell apart. I felt terrible for the Allen's the family that had been renting from us as some of their stuff was ruined. But they did have renter's insurance thankfully, and did get new furniture to replace the stuff that was ruined.

After a plumber fixed all the pipes and turned the water back on, the carpet was still a major difficulty. I was tempted to just buy some cheap bargain carpet and call it good, but I felt that such loyal tenants deserved something a little better.

... repair was expensive, so I did not have a lot of money to spend on the carpet. A neighbor suggested that I should look online for flooring stores, which I had not considered, since I had always just bought carpet from a store. It turned out that I had made a wise decision, and found a NJ carpet store that had some good pricing on some high-quality carpet that would look great in my rental.

I was there when it was delivered and watched them install it where I had removed the old carpet that had been ruined by the water. They did such a good job and I was very impressed with the way they did their work. My renters told me that they were so excited about the new carpet and were so appreciative that it was replaced so quickly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be no more flooding in the house, but at least if it ever does happen again, I will not have to wonder about where to go to look for new carpet.
