Using Ehr In My Medical Clinic Has Made My Practice Work So Much More Effortlessly!

Deciding to use EHR technology in my medical practice was one of the greatest decisions I ever made, and it has really changed the way our clinic operates. I am a podiatrist and a few years ago, I was able to convert an old farmhouse into a thriving practice for myself and my assistants. The clinic has the best location close to a large community, and I have found that we get a nice flow of loyal customers. I like what I do, and I seem to have gotten a good reputation with the people in this area.

When I first got myself situated, I tried to get the newest software and trained my assistants in how to do the appropriate bookkeeping. I was content with the way things were going, but then I went and visited an old pal from medical school who has a small practice of his own. He showed me how they do things, which involved using the Electronic Health Records software to keep track of patients and was also used to streamline the billing of his patients.

... impressed and as soon as I got home I looked into getting the same EHR technology in my own office. When I told my assistants, they were not initially all that excited, since they did not want to have to learn a new way to do things, but once they got started they saw how much easier it made their jobs.

We all got the hang of the new system in no time, and we were shocked at how simple and efficient the system was to use, and how fast we could take care of the billing. We were saving so much time with the new system that we were able to take on more new patients, and we were also able to let our patients see their own medical records online.

One feature that my friend had not told me about was the EHR Meaningful Use laws that got us a reimbursement once we proved that our use of the software and technology was meaningful. This was fantastic and made everything make much more sense. Now that we have gotten accustomed to this new system, I can't believe that we were ever able to get along without it. I even tell all of my colleagues at conventions and conferences about it!
