Hay fever is serious and it might lead to adverse effect on the people’s lives. If you have lately moved to Ireland then you need to be more cautious about the allergies because it might ruin the school days of your children. Children are mostly affected from asthma, hay fever and eczema. A survey conducted in 2003 revealed hay fever affects more than 10.1 percent of people in Ireland, and even more number of people suffers from asthma and eczema. While health authorities have recently reported a major drop of 40 percent in asthma deaths, hay fever continue to worry the Irish people.

Medical professionals have been putting their best foot forward to reduce the occurrence of allergies such as hay fever. A few months back a pollen sampler was introduced at the Queen’s University in Belfast. Previously readings were collected from Edinburgh to determine the amount of pollen in the air but a new setting by Met Office has truly benefitted the people of Northern Ireland.

Hay fever significantly affects the lives of the people. People frequently suffer from watery eyes; even people are reluctant to travel when they get affected by hay fever. Efficiency at workplace is reduced considerably and concentration is hampered. The Irish economy has to bear huge financial loss annually due to increasing number of people taking leave while they suffer from hay fever, asthma or rhinitis.

Health providers have been working relentlessly to come up with a more creditable solution to decrease the frequency of hay fever in Ireland. Extensive guidance and medical treatment across the country ensures that patients can undergo the right treatment and get cured from allergies such as hay fever.
