If you live in Chicago then you know the name of Empire Carpet. You also know about Luna Carpet. Although Luna is not as well known as Empire, which has been around forever, both are well known to those who watch TV or listen to the radio in Chicagoland. This is because they do a lot of advertising for which they spend quite a bit of money.

Empire Carpet had a spokesperson who was so well known that when he died, it made the news. Luna Carpet is less well known than Empire but also has a catchy commercial jingle. Those who live in Chicago know the phone numbers for these places. Both of them are in competition with one another and both got in on a niche market at a time when it was pretty unusual because they offered shop at home service. Shop at home service meant that they sent someone out to the house to sell you carpet. They brought along samples. Because they did not have a store, they could offer a better deal than the off line stores.

However, because they spend so much money on advertising as well as for the commissioned sales people, they are not as cheap as other carpeting companies that sell ...
... online direct. They can offer shop at home service, too. But at your convenience and no one has to come to the house. Instead, you can shop from home right on your computer without leaving the house. A person can check out the carpeting that is offered and then choose what they like. Ordering this way saves a person a lot of money.

There are only a few carpeting manufacturers so most of the carpet companies all get their materials from the same places. The difference in price depends upon the expenses that have to be taken from the top of any company. Those companies with larger expenses, such as that for advertising, overhead and commissions, will charge more than those companies that do not have the same expenses. If you want to get a good deal on carpeting, then be sure to check out a company that does not go all over the airwaves.

You can get a good deal when shopping at home and will be surprised at what is offered. This is the best way to shop for carpeting because you can not only shop at home, but take your time. No one will be pressuring you to choose. No one will be pressuring you for a sale. You get to relax, at home, look for carpeting and then make up your mind as to what you want. This is the best way for anyone to get carpeting for their home because they can choose high quality carpeting and padding, get installation services and get the best price. If you want to get carpeting and are in the Chicago area, then it makes sense to go with a company that is not as well known but can offer the same quality for less.

If you are looking for carpeting, skip going to Luna Carpet or Empire Carpet . Get the same quality for less by going to Chicago Carpet world.
