Blind Dates - Any Good Results?

I have friends that have been on blind dates, but it never happened to me. There are some success stories even though there are some horror stories out there about these dates. When you go on a blind date you might want to keep in mind that this might either be the very best date in your entire life, or it might end up being the most unpleasant. Lets hope you have not put your dating life into the hands of persons who are going to make the wrong choices for you, but sometimes, even though with the best of intentions will go wrong completely.

Normally blind dates are set up by well meaning friends. These friends think the two of you are perfect for one another, but you might not be so sure. You may be doubtful of meeting men (or women) using this method, but it can be a great experience. I guess you should probably decide how sensible your friends are before you let them set you up. Make sure you know why your friends think you will like each other before you go on any blind dates. You might not want to go if they are going on looks alone. Make sure there is a deeper interest that you might share.

... miss the mark so badly that you wonder what were your friends thinking. Maybe they didn't think at all, or they may have only been mistaken. Even two persons who work on paper can be a big mismatch in person. When you accept a date from someone you meet, you have probably felt some kind of chemistry or you would not be going. When you agree to blind dates, you don't have that to go by. That's the reason why there are some problems.

For as long as there are single people on earth, friends will be trying to match friends on blind dates. If you are thinking of allowing your friends to set you up, make sure you provide them some solid rules to go by, or they could set you up with someone you will have interest in. Just be certain they have more reasons for setting you up than the line, "But he's cute!" Because there is an element of truth in there somewhere, movies about blind dates going wrong are really funny. You can really appreciate the real life humor involved if you have ever gone on a bad date, or know someone who has.
