It includes availability of world-class treatment facilities, most expert surgeons, very less cost of treatment. Availability of all these facilities along with very good success rate of lymphoma treatment in Indian cancer surgery hospitals in most prominent cities of India makes India an ideal destination for abroad patients seeking good quality cancer treatment.

What is Lymphoma?
A lymphoma is a cancer of cells in the lymphatic system. Lymphomas are divided into two types - Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. There are over thirty different types of lymphoma; five of these are known as Hodgkin's lymphoma, or Hodgkin's disease, which is most common in young adults age sixteen to thirty-four. The other types are known as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). Advances in diagnosis and Lymphoma Treatment India have helped to make this once uniformly fatal disease highly treatable, with the potential for full recovery.

The Lymphatic System
The lymphatic system is part of the immune system, which ...
... helps protect our body against infection. It consists of lymph nodes connected by lymph vessels, which branch out into all parts of the body except the brain and spinal cord. The lymphatic system also includes the bone marrow, spleen, thymus gland and tonsils. The lymphatic system carries a clear fluid called ‘lymph’, which contains many white blood cells called lymphocytes. Lymph fluid is filtered through the lymph nodes and any foreign organisms (such as bacteria) are trapped and attacked by the lymphocytes. In a person with lymphoma, large numbers of abnormal lymphocytes are made, which replace some of the normal lymphocytes. This can affect the immune system and the way the body fights infections. The lymph nodes also become swollen, forming painless lumps. The lymphatic system runs through most of the body. This means you can get lymphoma almost anywhere. It is most commonly first seen in the lymph nodes in the neck, but it is also fairly common to find it in the liver or spleen. You may also find lymphoma in the bowel, stomach, brain, skin, testicles and eye.

Lymphoma Treatment in India
Lymphoma Treatment in India depends on the stage of the disease, the size, number and location of the affected lymph nodes, the age and general health, and the symptoms being experienced. Treatment is also affected by whether the disease is at an advanced or early stage in its development and how fast it is progressing. Patients who have symptoms from their Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma are given different treatment than those without symptoms. Treatment for Hodgkins and non Hodgkins can be quite similar, i.e. chemotherapy, radiation and or bone marrow transplants.
