Goa completely different from the rest of India is famous for its mixture of east and west culture. It is naturally beautiful and tourists from the near and far away places travel to Goa for the exciting and thrilling holidays. Its pristine beaches, lush green valleys, nightlife, festivals, and carnivals lures many tourists to travel to Goa.

It has a tropical climate with three seasons in a year including summer, winter and monsoon. During monsoon Goa receives heavy rainfalls with strong winds. Cuisine of Goa is considered to be one of the best in India; it is greatly influenced by the Portuguese, Hindus and Muslims ways of preparing food. The people of Goa mostly like spicy, fiery and flavored food and it is mainly dominated by non-vegetarian foods .The main stable foods of Goa contain fish, rice and coconut. Coconut milk is the very significant feature of Goan dish and so is the “Kokum” which is a kind of a fruit. Red chilies, tamarind, vinegar and chutneys are also a important ingredient. Goa Cuisine is known for its variety.
Goa is also famous for its unique and extravagant festivals. These festivals of Goa attract many tourists from across the globe. Festival of Goa include colorful Carnival of song, dance, and music, it lasts for three days and people of all ages, religion, caste, creed come to enjoy this carnival, it is famous among the tourists also nothing can stop them from joining this Carnival. Another interesting festival celebrated in Goa is “Shigmo” a festival of colors which is celebrated in the month of March. This Festival is celebrated under different names throughout the country. In Goa this festival is celebrated by many people in the month of March on full moon to bid farewell to winter.
